Pietro Michelucci is Director of the Human Computation Institute, a nonprofit center that advances the science of crowdsourcing by developing interactive games and research platforms. Pietro currently leads the EyesOnALZ project which uses crowd-based methods to accelerate Alzheimer's Disease research. He is a pioneer in the science of Organismic Computing and believes that the power of networked humans and machines can be harnessed to benefit humanity. Pietro received a joint PhD from Indiana University in Cognitive Science and Mathematical Psychology and has been a science advisor to federal research agencies since 2006. He actively supports the advancement of Human Computation and regularly contributes to scientific journals and groups.
